Preparing Your HVAC System For Summer

Preparing Your HVAC System For Summer

A seasonal checklist to ensure your system performs at its best.

Before the first heat wave

Replace your air filter, clear two feet of space around the outdoor condenser, and gently rinse off leaves and debris. Then run your AC for a few minutes to confirm it cools before you actually need it.

Check your thermostat

Switch to cooling mode, set a test temperature, and confirm the system responds. A smart or programmable thermostat can cut summer bills by adjusting automatically when you are away.

Book a professional tune-up

A spring tune-up checks refrigerant levels, electrical connections, and coil cleanliness, catching small issues before they become a mid-July breakdown when everyone else is calling too.
